Here is another lovely French activity you can go and do this summer! This great exhibition is now open at the MK Gallery, and it is the perfect cultural outing!

The gallery is currently hosting a major exhibition dedicated to the famous French photographer and painter, Jacques Henri Lartigue (1894–1986).

While he is very celebrated for his black and white photos of the Parisian La Belle Époque, this exhibition focuses on a rare and beautiful aspect of his work: his color photography. Nearly 40% of his work was actually shot in color, but many of these vibrant photographs have never been seen by the public before!

You will get to see more than 150 items, including early 3D images, vintage prints, letters, and drawings from his childhood.

Lartigue's color work is full of life, sunshine, and French history. This exhibition is another great opportunity to immerse yourself in French culture right here in MK. So have a go and be sure to feedback to your teachers about the experience!
